Q & A: What is the difference between a med school ranked the best on “research” and ranked the best for “primary care”?
Question by Jynx : What is the difference between a med school ranked the best on “research” and ranked the best for “primary care” ?
I’m looking for a good California med school, and while searching I came across a list of “Top 10 Medical Schools.” But there were two lists. One said “Top 10 medical schools (research)” and the other said “Top 10 Medical Schools (primary care).” I was just wondering what the difference is. If someone could explain it, it would be great. Thanks! Best answer:

I think that research is the test how good the school is teaching the material and apply it to medical research and I think that the primary care factor is how well they do in their respective hospitals … This is just a guess ..
