@Phoenix700 it computes differently to a PC. Basically the way it processes information is more efficient than a PC. Your mixed up with the speed but unless I explain how a processor works you won’t understand. A PS3s strengths is a PCs weakness. PS3s utilize information differently to a PC and perform better in certain areas.
My PC is a lot faster than a PS3, that shit is 10 years old, what a crock of shit
how much is playstation 3 now
@mit871chell And you are calling people names on the Internet guess u really didn’t get to me cause it took 10 months for me to get back to you. I guess could of been out of the country trying to sneak back in since im a immigrant or something.
These people need to learn the facts right! You can’t play games on PS3 while folding@home is working, damn it. You can only listen to music and check your trophies and thats it. On PC i used to run seti@home all the time even when playing. But on PS3 you can’t even watch a movie while its folding! Get your facts straight!

@kba2b don’t bash Folding@home. R u a scientist?
@bluebones1928 Kind of, but don’t think of it as a PS3 only kind of deal. Think of it as adding a ton of new computers on their distributed computing network.
It just so happens that those computers are Playstations, and they’re rather good at processing.
Inspiring! Which is why we chose Cancer Research UK as one of our 10 most deserving Charities. Thank you, I hope we can make a significant contribution to their cause as our supporters grow in number.

@FlickDaBic They were working on an Xbox client, but because the PS3 is more powerful Microsoft is holding back simply by ego.
