Why do they call it “single payer healthcare” when we all know its the taxpayer that is going to pay?
Question by Arnold: Why do they call it “single payer healthcare” when we all know its the taxpayer that is going to pay?
There are less than 100 million taxpayers in America now, and they support another 200 million people, and about 20 million illegals. How about calling it the “Soak the rich, baby, soak the rich” healthcare plan?
Sara,
You ding-dong, your sister does not pay taxes. She simply gives back some of the money taxpayers give her.

The government is the single payer.
“An approach to health care financing with only one source of money for paying health care providers. The scope may be national, like the Canadian system, state-wide, or community-based. The payer may be a governmental unit or other entity such as an insurance company. The proposed advantages include administrative simplicity for patients and providers, and resulting significant savings in overhead costs.”

Right. It’s like the “Fairness Doctrine” wants to use government control to manipulate the airwaves. But who would oppose the word “Fairness” ?
Its Much Easier To Quote Than “Three Hundred Million Payer Health care”
Yep.
It’s just another Obama Trick to fool the Ignorant and the Un-informed.
It’s going to “Soak the Working People”.
All Taxpayers are going to pay dearly.
How about “soak the lower middle class and above” healthcare plan?
taxpayers pay for it already…a helluva lot more than if it could be managed. If money is all that concerns you rethugs than this should be the central discussion…….
heaven forbid you lower the profits of the god damned insurance or drug industry.
Opposing single payer is a vote for more corporatocracy—more corporate control of our gov. This is what should be feared.
I have no problem “soaking the rich”….. they have been living off the backs of heard working, middle class, Americans for decades…..
there are not 320 million people in america… and most people do pay taxes… my sister is on wellfare and she still pays taxes
well if poor people are poor how can they afford insurance. And if poor people cant afford insurance then how will they work after they get sick or injured? And if poor people cant work, then how will rich people get rich?
