John Stossel: Insurance Makes Healthcare Far More Expensive
John Stossel makes the case that we should pay for own healthcare. What a shocking notion!

@Jesteria78 But that’s exactly the system under which health care cannot operate efficiently. The doctors will be incompetent, the waiting will be much longer, patient still “pay” in countries like Canada or Europe, but in the form of longer wait and lower cancer survival rate rather than money.
I don’t know who this retard is. But from a health point care of view I’d rather live in Western Europe then in the USA. Health care doesn’t need to make profit, it just needs to be efficient and accessible for everybody. It’s like a lottery in a negative way, you never know what’ll hit you, an accident, a decease or whatever, so everybody pays a bit, just in case.
Wow. Reagan was right! That would be so awesome if everyone just started paying cash for routine checkups! The price of healthcare would definitely go down because there would be less paperwork and less abuse of the system!
@1Apizza “FYI, Bill Gates is the exception not the rule”
And now that’s why you feel fucking stupid using college drop out as an epithet right? And are you saying people who gone to trade school are fucking idiot’s or something?Do you not yet feel ashamed of yourself for not answering my question about the single payer system for food yet?
@1Apizza “You can have an opinion but you can’t change the facts. You can change the subject, panic monger, character assassination / ad hominem, take whatever underhanded tactic you’re using and accuse your opponent of doing it to you first. scapegoat, bully, confuse and use diversion but in the end….Simply put….there is no debate because the facts don’t suport your ideology.”
So tell us about that single payer system for nutrition, bro. We’re still waiting.
@1Apizza “The costs in Canada are zero”
*facepalm*
“and while y’all might believe the drug/HMO lobby funded stories that Canadians are dying in the streets, the facts are quite different.”
Yes,the evil capitalists are lying about the wait lines and the quotas.
“Psssst, they also enjoy a robust economy ‘
And we have the world’s largest economy. So even with our shitty current growth rate our economy is still better than Canada’s due to it’s dynamism. And don’t even get me started on the S of L.
@1Apizza Also I have to say that your captains of industry and your elected officials don’t seem to think that American healthcare is the “laughing stock of the world” what with them coming here regularly for open heart surgery.Indeed,a country with one of the world’s largest set of oil reserves that usually uses it’s ever gushing flow of oil to pay for nearly all government expenditures recently had this incident exactly.
@1Apizza This was the reason I was asking you why you (presumably) don’t believe in a single payer system for food.It was a red herring for you to understand that there are other social factors at work here other than government spending(other people’s money and the public debt) and the dastardly insurance companies.Once again I challenge you,if there are NOT other factors at play here besides your State spending, then why not apply this very successful model to food or water?Well?
@1Apizza I’d say Russia is the country that has the healthcare system that’s the laughingstock of the world.Russia has more doctors, nurses, and healthcare infastructure than just about any other country in the world on a per capita basis. Why is their healthcare so shitty as a result?Maybe it’s because of things like DIET,AND BEHAVIOR,AND SOCIETY.But I suppose Russia’s stats are just a health insurance company plot to fool the gullible masses.Have any proof of that yet,ANYWHERE?
@1Apizza You are comparing apples with oranges. Nations with low infant mortality and high life expectancies are on the whole much more racially homogeneous or have higher percentages of Asians. The average Brit lives longer than the average American, but the average Hawaiian lives longer than the average Brit. Hawaii is also not the richest state, per capita income has Hawaii at 19th, D.C. is number one, yet has the lowest life expectancy.

FYI, Bill Gates is the exception not the rule, and he agrees with me.

1Apizza must be desperate for attention.
Is EVERYTHING corrupt these days?
Morals and ethics are long gone values.
The world is beautifully fucked.
